Mendeley at Copenhagen Business School: Home

Systems requirements

At the moment there are two download options for a desktop app

When deciding you should consider you version of operating system (OS) and Word (or other text processor) you find the updated information of version support here.

Mendeley Desktop is the classic version but the development of this version has stopped, and it doesn’t support OS for Mac above macOS 10.14 (Mojave), it runs on older Mac OS and on all Windows and Linux

Mendeley Reference Manager is the new version of the desktop app it runs on the new OS for Mac and on Windows and Linux, by now it has all the central and major features, but it is still lacking two things that might have you consider running the old Mendeley Desktop (if you can) It can’t make bibliographies in other than English and it can’t check your database for duplicates.

About Mendeley

Mendeley is a reference management software, an academic collaboration network, and a crowd sourced database with a unique layer of social information research, all wrapped into one.

Mendeley can help you achieve a number of things, including (but not limited to):

  • Correct in-text citations and bibliographies in the style of choice via smooth technical integration in MS Word, Google Docs, & Latex.

NB. Mendeley cannot help you decide when and where to cite a source in your document. To inform yourself on this topic, you will have to look elsewhere. One place to learn more about referencing and academic intergrity  is the CBS Library guide Working with Integrity as a CBS Student.
