Great news: Course Readings in Canvas is now ready for use.

Course Readings is a reading list solution that will help you create and share course readings with your students. Creating a reading list from scratch is very easy, and so is rolling over and recycling reading lists in subsequent years.

When creating a reading list in Course Readings, you will automatically create a link to a library record, which will provide easy access for students to an item status as well as the full document.

You can include all types of items in your reading lists, both the classics and videos, podcasts etc. If you include books and articles not currently available from the library collections, the library will be notified and will try to procure the item, preferably in a digital edition.  Print books in your lists will automatically find their way to the course readings print collection in the Solbjerg Plads library, to which students have 24/7 access.

Apart from all the benefits to you as an instructor, the advantages to students are abounding. It will be easy to identify course readings and access will be the same across courses and programmes.

Finally, reading lists and individual reading list items will be instantly recognizable as all inputs originate in the library discovery system.

Course Readings is a joint venture between Teaching & Learning and CBS Library.
