A wide range of subjects and programs at CBS use cases in teaching. These often come from institutions such as Harvard, INSEAD, Stanford, IMD, etc. It is important to remember that strict copyright rules apply to the use of these cases in teaching.
Students are generally required to purchase these as a compendium or through external suppliers. The two main suppliers of cases for teaching are The Case Centre (formerly ECCH) and Harvard Business Publishing.

CBS is a member of The Case Centre. Instructors from CBS can register as users and gain access to Inspection Copies of cases. They can also purchase cases for use in teaching.
The Case Centre offer instructors the service CoursePack Creator. Here, it is possible to compile cases and other materials for students. There are two payment options: StudentPay: the student pays for the materials themselves, SchoolPay: the material is paid for in advance by the course.
Pricing: Information about pricing.
Always check availability before adding journal articles to the CoursePack. The students can often access the articles for free at CBS' journal and article databases. For more info on Leganto/Course Reading in Canvas, see our guide: Using Course Readings in Canvas (faculty).

All students can purchase electronic access to cases from a wide range of institutions (including Harvard, INSEAD, IMD, Ivey, etc.). Harvard Business Publishing is Harvard Business School's publisher/bookstore, so virtually all their various publications can be purchased.
The advantage of using Harvard is that electronic access is granted for six months to the purchased cases.
| Unfortunately, CBS Library cannot assist students or staff in ordering these cases. Many students are interested in cases from Harvard Business School in particular. However, you must order these cases yourself. The library is prevented from ordering for students and staff due to copyright reasons. |
Approx. 2.500 cases on business-related topics, including marketing, HRM, process engineering, small businesses, entrepreneurship, and international business.
All cases contain abstract, introduction, discussion paper, and further readings.
