Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS), one of our major financial databases, will introduce a new login procedure in the coming weeks. To better protect data from unauthorized access, WRDS will require all users to identify with two-factor authentication (2FA).

WRDS will introduce two-factor authentication (2FA) by Duo Security in two stages:

  • The first stage involves all website logins. Web users may enroll in WRDS 2FA starting November 28.
  • The second stage will take effect in early 2023 and applies to all SSH connections.

According to WRDS, Duo Security is recognized as industry standard.

You will find more information right here:

If you are already an active WRDS user, you should receive an e-mail directly from WRDS with information on the new login procedure.
