CBS Library has now launched a take-out service. This means that you will be able to get hold of items that have been off-limits until now, including copies of book chapters and print articles as well as entire books. If permitted under current copyright provisions we will e-mail the documents to you. The service is limited to CBS staff and students.

Ordering items

Simply send an e-mail to Library2Go@cbs.dk and we will process your request as quickly as we possibly can.

All e-mail requests will receive a reply that will either include a digital copy of the requested item or details about when and where you can pick up the item yourself. Staff also have the option of having items sent by mail.

Picking up items

You can pick up items from the Solbjerg Plads library night entrance, by the ramp to the underground parking.

You will not be able to enter the library yourself and you cannot place an order for an item at the night entrance, only in advance and by e-mail.

To avoid huge congregations of people and thus the spread of COVID-19, you will be assigned a time slot for pick-up. The time slots are: 9-10, 10-11, and 11-12. Only one person at a time will be allowed in to collect their reservations. We kindly ask that you respect this and only turn up at the assigned time.

Home delivery

If you prefer to have an item sent by mail, just let us know in the reservation e-mail and we will send it to home address with PostNord.

No returns yet

We are still not able to accept returns.

A lot of the online resources provided by CBS Library now boast special sections of COVID-19 information, analyses, forecasts, and statistics, all with a focus on business and industry. Below you will find a pair of select examples:

Passport

Passport operates a dedicated COVID-19 section titled Coronavirus (COVID-19): Understanding the Impact, where you can find analyses such as The Impact of Coronavirus on Top 10 Global Consumer Trends 2020 and forecasts on both global and country-specific trends for selected categories of consumer goods. You will also find podcasts, webinars, and much more on the topic of COVID-19.

Statista

The COVID-19 section in Statista zooms in on statistical evidence of the development in the pandemic, broken down by country, and the effect on people and economies.
World Advertising Research Center

WARC has a dedicated section on Marketing in the COVID-19 crisis, where, among others, you can find the following articles:
Is it too soon to be funny? What consumers want from social media during COVID-19 by Shareablee, the social-media intelligence provider, discusses how brands can inject humor into their marketing efforts but must do so with some degree of caution because of the sensitive nature of COVID-19.
What, where and how much? Media effectiveness during COVID-19 that presents five tips from Kantar for dealing with a rapidly changing media environment, and tips on how to prepare for recovery after COVID-19.

It just got easier to look up accounting terminology. So if you are wondering what organic growth means in an accounting context or how best to translate revenue into Danish, you will find the answers in the Accounting Dictionaries (Regnskabsordbøgerne) that CBS Library just procured.

The dictionaries provide definitions and translations of Danish and English accounting, auditing, and financial management terminology, and each of them comprises more than 6.000 words and 25.000 collocations and examples.

You have the choice of four dictionaries:

Regnskab Dansk (Accounting Danish)

Regnskab Dansk-Engelsk (Accounting Danish-English)

Regnskab Engelsk (Accounting English)

Regnskab Engelsk- Dansk (Accounting English-Danish)

Ordbogen.com, which provides the service, has a whole range of other dictionaries. However, CBS students and staff have access to the Accounting Dictionaries only.
If you need other dictionaries, please use Gyldendals Ordbøger instead.

Easy access

Download the Accounting Dictionaries for smartphone, tablet or laptop/desktop to keep them handy. Simply Follow the instructions and select "Enkeltbruger" (single user when prompted).

Citation styles change over time to adapt to a changing world and now APA 7th has been rolled out.
There are only a few major differences between APA 6th and 7th, some of which are the result of increasing digitization in academic publishing. A couple of examples:

You no longer have to try to figure out where the publisher is located geographically as this information no longer has to be included in the reference.
URLs no longer have to be preceded by “Retrieved from”, unless it is absolutely necessary to include a retrieval date.
One change that does not depend on the digital environment is the first time mentioning of a source. Regardless of the medium, all sources with three or more authors now require only the name of the first author followed by “et al.”

We have recently published a guide to APA 7th which is available to all students and members of faculty. You will find it on our website in the LibGuides section.

If you are a Mendeley user (or use another reference management software) we recommend that you change your settings to APA 7th. Instructions on how to do this are available on the front page of our APA 7th  LibGuide..

If you have any questions about APA 7th, referencing in general, or Mendeley, please reach out and we will by happy to help

Open Access publishing guarantees that publicly funded research, including their findings, is made available to not only the general public, but also to organizations and private companies. What is more, several studies show that Open Access generates more citations and downloads for individual research articles.

Many Open Access journals are renowned within their fields and some of them are indexed in the Bibliometric Research Indicator. Below you will find four examples of recent CBS articles published in Open Access journals.

You can search Open Access journals by keyword or subject in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
