Book-a-librarian

Your personal profile in Libsearch is your starting point for managing your interactions with the library.

This is where you check due dates, renew loans, set a PIN code, keep an eye on the progression of an item requested, pay the occational fee for late returns, etc.

In the boxes below the personal profile sections are explained.

Signing in

Accessing your personal information in Libsearch requires signing in.

Find "Sign in" in the top menu, to the right.

If you are a CBS student or faculty, sign in with your CBS credentials.

Are you not affiliated with CBS, use the NemID option to sign up or sign in. If you need more information on registering as a library user, please read our "New Patron" page.

Manage your personal data

In your personal profile section of Libsearch you can keep tabs on your loans, due dates, requests, etc. This is also the spot where you set up a PIN-code for the self-service maschines.

Setting up a PIN for borrowing books

Sign in as described in the box above. Choose Library Card and click Personal Details. Click Update Log In Credentials and set a PIN of four digits. Immediately after you will be able to use the PIN in our self service machines.

Changing your address

Follow instructions above to get to Personal Details and click "edit".

Manage your loans

Sign in as described in the box above and again, click Library card and choose Loans from the menu. This will result in a list of your loans. If your loans are renewable, you will be presented with a "Renew" button. You can either renew single books or all your loans.

Look at this example:

Fees and fines

A few specialized services at the library will be associated with a fee, and handing in an item late will result in a fine - the longer the item is overdue, the larger the fine. See the library regulations and fees and our price list. In the "Fees and fines" section in your personal profile you can get an overview of your outstanding account and initiate a payment of any fee or fine.

To pay, log in as described in the box above, click "Library card" and go to "Fees and fines". Clicking "Pay fine" will take you to a payment system that accepts both credit cards and MobilePay.
