Springer and Open Access publishing
On the 21st of March 2023, a new consortium agreement between Springer and Danish research institutions came into force. To CBS researchers, the agreement means that you can publish your research as Open Access at no cost in a number of Springer's journals.
The agreement is valid until 31 December 2026. According to the agreement, the final version of an article can be published as Open Access under a Creative Commons license if it fulfills the agreement conditions. The publication costs are covered by the consortium agreement.
Agreement conditions
To publish Open Access at no cost, the following conditions need to be fulfilled:
What to do as a researcher?
When your article is accepted for publication, the corresponding author will receive an email invitation to complete the publication process:
Remember to use your CBS e-mail address in the process.
Which journals are part of the agreement?
The agreement includes the following Springer journals: Springer, Palgrave & Adis hybrid journals on SpringerLink, and Academic Journals on Nature.com – see if a journal is eligible (click on 'Eligible journals' under 'Publishing open access in a hybrid journal').
Open Access journals (journals that are not subscription-based, and where all articles are published as Open Access) are not part of the agreement. If you publish in one of these journals, you will need to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC).
